A TAVISTOCK College student is to cycle from Land?s End to John O?Groats next month in aid of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Antony Butcher, 16, is one of the youngest to ride for the society, and will try to tackle the 1,076-mile ride within two weeks. On his return he will be holding a raffle in aid of the charity with prizes which include an X-Box and a meal for two at Dukes. To enter, see Antony in Tavistock Pannier Market every Saturday for tickets. Antony is tackling the ride for MS as his mother, Teresa Copsey, has suffered from the long-term condition for the past 20 years. She now attends the Tavistock MS Group, a small, independent self-help group for people affected by MS. The informal, friendly, mixed age group meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 11am in the Wharf. If anyone would like to find out more contact group chairman, Laurie Canvin on 01822 610328.
