The Sunday night quiz drew an excellent turn out for the people involved in the first fund raising event for this project.

Landlord and landlady of the pub Mike and Ann Jefferies provided a Sunday roast for four members of the winning team the Badgers, and a round of drinks to the two teams who came joint second.

A plumber has assessed the work involved in installing the showers and changing rooms and work will start as soon as he gets permission.

All this work is aimed to come into being by next season. Its completion will mean the Exbourne football team can have facilities to allow them to play in village.

There are so far three sponsors for three games next season. The team is is good spirits having won their last two games — beating Prospect 4-1 with goals from Andrew Baggot, Graham Sage and two from Tim Shaw; and beating Rennes B 2-1 with goals from Andrew Baggot and Tim Shaw.
