IT has been a busy few weeks for members of the Okehampton Cycle Club.

Last Thursday week saw the second of the Okehampton CC Summer time trial series on the 10 mile course tracing the old A30 road from Bridestowe to Lewdown and back.

Andy Retter was fastest on the night clocking a time of 27 mins 6 secs followed by Mike Cory on 28.09.

Last Thursday the third event took place and Mike Cory clocked the fastest time of 28.07 with Gary Herbert coming second on 28.57.

On Bank Holiday Monday a number of club members took part in North Devon Wheelers 25 mile time trial event.

Finishing times: A Bowyer, 1 hr 04 mins 49 secs; T Bridgman, 1.05.59; J Rice, 1.08.01; T Johnston, 1.09.59; S Perrett, 1.10.06; A Retter, dnf.

This event was also the South West TT championship and Jacky's efforts were rewarded as she was the fastest female competitor and was awarded the ladies medal.

Last Sunday also saw a good turn out for the St Budeaux cycle club 15.6 time trial at Kelly Bray which took place on a gloriously sunny morning.
