TAMAR and Tavy Gig Club are planning to row from Bedford Square to Weir Quay on Saturday October 14, going round the Plymouth breakwater en route! This endurance event will be a repeat of the inaugural row the club completed in January 2004 and they will aim to establish a new record for the course. Members of the public, including non-experienced rowers, will be invited to join club members and participate in the event. This will be a ?virtual row? and will be staged in Bedford Square alongside the farmers? market, using the club?s rowing machines. The event starts at 9am and is scheduled to finish by 1pm. Individual rowing sessions will involve a choice of a five-minute or a ten-minute row. Anyone interested in participating can turn up on the day but to guarantee a place in one of the crews they are advised to contact Robin Musgrave on 01822 841064 in advance.
