IN the opening half Okehampton seemed overawed by the opposition, conceding four tries, but their heads did not drop and they continued competing and defending vigorously.
The second half saw Okehampton come to life. The forwards dominating Sidmouth when scrummaging, often winning the ball against the head. Pillivant picked up from the back of the scrum and from a series of pick and drives, Williams crossed the line to score.
This was quickly followed by the forwards setting up quick ball which popped up to Simmons playing at fly half, who ran in to score a try. Johnson from a line out on Okehampton's 22 stepped around a number of Sidmouth defenders to score. Sidmouth responded with a try. Bickley then did his usual trick of weaving through the opposition with the odd hand-off to score.
Okes held their nerve in the closing minutes and Willaims crossed the line again with Searle kicking the conversion.
It was an outstanding all round team performance.
