PUPILS at Horrabridge Primary school showed off their creativity recently, taking part in an art week.

The art week, entitled 'Space Oddity — a Journey into the Unknown' allowed the children to take part in a series of art experiences, contributing to the construction of a clay mountain, the formation of a space garden, suspended string sculptures, large scale slotted sculptures and dance and movement sketches.

The event was organised by parent and artist Tabatha Andrews, who has spent many hours planning and working alongside the children throughout the week.

She was supported by Alli Eynon (artist), Jonty (artist), Ben and Clair (Attic Dance), Mik (designer and prop maker), Tanya (animator) and parent help from Edward Hopkins, Timothy Bolton, Rebecca Ellis, Mel Crosher, Sarah Burke, Colette Hutchins, Cath Derry and Heather Summers.

Thanks were expressed to The Carpet Centre in Tavistock for donating many cardboard tubes, Rachael from Plymouth Play Association for material, Phil Jarman of Jarman Aggregates, who donated sand, Dave at Travis Perkins, Tavistock who donated 10 bags of gravel and all parents and children who provided materials.
