THE traditional Buckland Monachorum Summer Fair took over the heart of the village on Saturday, June 9.
The fair is traditionally held on the second Saturday in June, having seemingly developed from an older village event known as the May Revels.
The fair began with a fancy dress parade led by the City of Plymouth Pipe Band. The theme was national costumes from around the world.
There was a selection of stalls to browse and refreshments to enjoy, while the miniature steam railway was available for trips up and down the street.
The fair also saw the third running of the Buckland Bounder fun run tower.
Those wanting to gaze down on proceedings could also explore the church tower.
