RHS Garden Rosemoor's Apple Day this year sees community orchards as the central theme.

With an increasing interest by communities and groups in setting up their own orchards, Rosemoor will have all the help on hand to assist anyone in the cultivation of apples.

There will be apple displays from Rosemoor and Thornhayes Nurseries, as well as from the charity's flagship garden RHS Garden Wisley, which will help visitors to identify the apple varieties they have in their own gardens. Apple experts will be on hand to assist as well as offering planting and cultivation advice.

There will be children's activities and trails, cookery demonstrations with recipe handouts, and stalls selling apple juice and cider together with other apple related foods and goods.

Apple day is on Sunday, October 7 from 10am to 5pm.
