BRIGHTENING up Tavistock and helping Derriford Hospital?s kidney unit are the aims of Peter Palmer?s Christmas lights display this year. Last year?s display raised almost £900 for the unit and Peter, who works at Kivells estate agents, promises that this year?s lights are bigger and better. His father, John, is now on daily CAPD dialysis and the unit has been extremely helpful in his treatment. The lights are controlled automatically by timers and are on between 4.30pm and 1.30am and again in the morning from 6am to 7.30am. The illuminations can be found at Roland Bailey Gardens and all donations are gratefully received in the collection box.
