GOLDEN jubilee celebrations continue in Okehampton Hamlets on Monday, June 3 at Meldon.

They start at 6pm on South Down where, overlooking the reservoir, there will be refreshments before an optional walk around the lake which will include a trail quiz.

A barbecue will follow and at approximately 9.45pm the beacon bonfire will be lit.

All are welcome to come and join in the event, including visitors to the area. There is no charge, but to cover costs, either a donation or contribution to the food and drink is requested. For more details: 01837 55078.
