PUPILS, parents and staff at Mount House School were treated to an entertaining talk about canine companions as part of the school's ongoing Oracle Lecture series.

The interactive talk, entitled 'Top Tips for a Happy, Healthy, Well-behaved Family Dog', was given by Tavistock Pet Emporium owner Deborah Walsh. Mrs Walsh brought her own dogs in to demonstrate some of her key points — to the great delight of all.

Headmaster Patrick Savage said: 'This kind of event — apart from being of great personal interest to many in the school — was a great opportunity to learn from an entertaining expert.'
