THE early autumn sights and colours of the Tamar Valley can be witnessed on the train to Bere Ferrers for this Saturday?s (October 14) Bere Apple Fest. It takes place in the village from 1.30pm to 5pm and will feature a host of demonstrations, and a chance for visitors to bring along their apples and turn them into a variety of apple products. Rebecca Catterail, from Devon and Cornwall Rail Partnership, said: ?Autumn is a lovely time in the Tamar Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty, and what better way to appreciate it than by a glorious trip on the train and a day out at a local rural festival.? The easiest way to get to Bere Ferrers by train is on the scenic Tamar Valley Line, with the festival just a short walk from the station.
