KELLY College triathlete Alex Richards had a confident win at the South West of England triathlon championships recently held at Brockworth in Gloucestershire.
Competing over new distances for the first time this year, Alex had a comfortable 400m swim and a superb 18k bike section. This was the first time Alex had experienced open road competition.
He came in to start the 6k road run comfortbly.
The road run, like the bike ride, was undulating on the open roads around Brockworth.
With the experience and confidence gained from this competition Alex is now looking forward to the National Youth championsips at Eton on June 24.
