TAVISTOCK'S Air Cadets and the TAG Group entered this year's River Axe kayak race in East Devon. The challenge involved a five-mile paddle finishing at Seaton Yacht club. All achieved certificates for their completion efforts and three individual medals were collected. Both groups are looking to enter again next year in single and double kayaking events. Flight Lieutenant Phil Newcombe, CO of 2312 Sqn.Air Cadets, said: 'Thanks go to Richard Walker of the TAG group and Paul Johnson of the ATC, both are qualified coaches and competitors looked after the respective teams.'
