A WARM heartfelt thank you to Age Concern (Okehampton) and all other persons involved — without the help of this service I would have been isolated from the world.
If they hadn't intervened, I would still be in that situation, like when they loaned me a wheelchair after mine was stolen from my property. That enabled me to attend vital appointments. Also, it takes months in some cases to get these things replaced by the NHS because of lack of funding.
Also, I would like to outline of the importance of people still donating a little bit of time to the volunteering sector or even donating items they may think of no value but which to some in need make a huge difference to their lives at home etc.
Also, much gratitude for all the people involved in the donation and set up of the Age Concern which now enables me to live a more independent life without the fantastic services I would not have my window to the world.
