Gardeners are being invited to the second annual 'Graft, Sow and Grow' event organised by the National Trust and Tamar Grow Local this weekend.
The two-day event will run from 11am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, March 2 and 3, at the Trust's Cotehele Estate.
Cotehele's orchard officer Chris Groves is looking forward to talking to local growers and giving workshops on how to get things growing.
Chris said: 'Whether you're new to cultivating your own food or an old hand at it, there will be plenty to excite and inspire you at Graft, Sow and Grow.
'Come and swap some seeds, exchange stories or let us show you how to graft your very own apple tree.'
A series of talks by guest speakers is planned, including 'Raised Bed Organic Gardening', by Rob Meredith from Holsworthy Organics and 'The Cut Flower Garden' by Sarah Chesters from RHS Rosemoor. There will also be presentations on the art of both bee and backyard poultry keeping.
Stallholders include the Cornish Compost Company, Let Them Eat Cake, the Cornish Crisp Company, and juice producers Greenbank Apple and Karensa Aval.
Cotehele Mill will demonstrate bread making with their organic flour and willow basket makers will be demonstrating the weaving of conical plant supports and other creative uses of willow in the garden.
There will be plenty of activities to keep the children amused and the wheelbarrow stunt group the Arrow Barrows will be performing on Sunday.
Graft, Sow and Grow is a free event. For more information and details, contact 01579 351346 or visit http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk">www.nationaltrust.org.uk or http://www.tamargrowlocal.org">www.tamargrowlocal.org
