DELIGHTED Tavistock Golf Club veterans' captains Alan Pope and June Kendall happily shared the Thewlis Trophy after halving this year's annual match.   

With a combined membership of more than 150 members,  both veterans' sections have a busy fixture list throughout the season.  As well as playing their own competitions and matches against other clubs, both sides support and play in the club matches, competitions, knock-outs etc. 

With an age range of 60 to 80 plus there is no age barrier and the game certainly keeps them fit and active.
