A DARTMOOR hotel is this week celebrating after receiving a prestigious honour described as the ?supreme accolade? by the awarding body.
Prince Hall Hotel near Two Bridges has been named as one of the top 200 hotels in Britain and Ireland in the new AA Hotel Guide 2003, just published.
Adam Southwell, who runs the hotel with his wife Carrie, said: ?Obviously we are delighted to be named as one of the very best hotels by the AA.
?It is something that everyone at Prince Hall has worked very hard to achieve during the seven years we have been here.?
The top 200 award is used by the AA to denote hotels that stand out as the very best there are, regardless of size, or type of operation.
Prince Hall, which has eight en-suite bedrooms, was built in the 18th century and was used to house French officers during the Napoleonic wars ? once they had given their word not to escape.
