THE Cornwall and West Devon Mining landscape in the Tamar Valley has been selected as one of the 'world wonders' by search engine giant Google.
The area, along with another British site the Dorset and East Devon Coast, will feature alongside some of the world's most famous heritage sites to feature on Google's new cultural digitization platform, the World Wonders Project, launched last week.
The project allows users to virtually explore a diverse range of sites from 18 countries. It features 132 historic sites including Stonehenge, the archaeological areas of Pompeii and the ancient Kyoto temples.
