ROWERS past and present and possible future rowers are invited to an open meeting of the Tamar and Tavy Gig Club at Bere Ferrers Social Club on November 3 at 8pm.
The meeting will be looking at the 2009 Isles of Scilly World Pilot Gig Championships, with a presentation on what is involved and the training required.
Anyone interested is invited to attend and those wanting to in register their interest in rowing at the event should contact Caroline Dawe, the rowing captain, on 01822 840064 or see her on the night.

Once the number of interested rowers is known, the number of teams entered can be decided. Winter training is currently taking place three times a week and in February the boats will be back in the water for intensive training for the Isles of Scilly event.
