A MUCH welcomed refurbished educational facility was unveiled last week with the grand opening of the nursery school at Horrabridge Primary.

Horrabridge Primary Nursery School has integrated the nursery within the main school building and now provides a semi integrated nursery and foundation stage unit.

Head teacher John Clarke told the Times: 'This marks the culmination of a process that has sought to improve the nursery children's daily provision through providing access to a greater range of opportunities as well as supporting children's transition into primary school.

'Considerable work has been undertaken by the school's governing body, supported by Jackie Colby (early years' advisor), Paula Draper (reception class teacher) along with Rachel Jewel, Emma Potter, Karen Scourfield (nursery staff) in order to reach this successful conclusion.'

The nursery was opened by the Mayor of West Devon Cllr David Cloke and the chair of Horrabridge Primary School governors Sarah Burke, alongside two of the nursery school children.
