A FREE community event has been organised by Tavistock Library and the Friends of Tavistock Library to celebrate the publication of Historical Fiction Writing a Guide and Tool Kit, at Tavistock Town Hall next month.

The book includes tips from more than 50 authors and professionals in the fields of fiction and non-fiction writing.

Many of the contributors live in Devon and more than ten of them will be attending the event and answering questions about writing.

They include Mary Andrea Clarke, Simon Dell, Margaret Duffy, Simon Hall, Jane Jackson, Lilian Harry, Professor Bernard Knight, Richard Lee, Elizabeth Maslen, Julian Stockwin, E V Thompson and Nicola Thorne.

Visitors will receive a complimentary glass of wine or fruit juice on arrival and the town hall bar will be open for more refreshments after the event.

Anyone who would like to submit a question before the event, is asked to email the question to the library on [email protected]">[email protected] or write it on a piece of paper and drop it into the library.

This is a ticketed event so please contact Tavistock Library to obtain the free ticket. The tickets for the event, on March 24 from 7.30 to 9.30pm, are limited so people are encouraged to reserve them as soon as possible.
