CAKES and casual clothes were the order of the day at South?Tawton?Primary School last Friday.
Pupils wore non-uniform clothes and held a cake sale at break-time and after school.
It was all part of their support for the fundraising efforts of one of their teachers, Andrew Swainson, who hopes to fulfil a lifelong ambition and complete the London Marathon in April. He is taking on the challenge to support VICTA — Visually Impaired Children Taking Action. The charity supports blind and partially sighted children across the UK.
Cakes for the sale were donated by staff and families, with many of the children making some themselves.
Andrew expressed thanks to the pupils who wore non-uniform, and to all who donated cakes and helped with the sale.
