TO celebrate the first year?s outstanding success of local environmental and recreation charity South West Lakes Trust?s Green Bridge project, a taster day is to be held at Roadford Lake on Friday April 16.
The Green Bridge project, funded by the Learning and Skills Council, aims to provide opportunities for unemployed people of all ages within Devon to participate in short courses in watersports and countryside management.
The day is open to organisations and individuals who have an interest in gaining an accreditation in water sports and countryside management skills.
The day starts at 10am with a welcome and tour of Roadford Lake?s facilities, followed by practical demonstrations in which participants are invited to try out the various activities. A light buffet will be provided for lunch, and afterwards there will be opportunities to try out watersports and countryside equipment.
