TAVISTOCK Quiz League?s second season has opened with a succession of surprise results.
The Union Inn A team won all but one of their matches last season, but started at home with a second place behind Ordulph Svetlanas and well beaten by seven points.
The Ordulph Arms cemented the top spot with a second successive win at the Conservative Club by a ten-point margin.
There was a shock in store at the Tavistock Inn. Not only were they beaten, but pushed into fifth place ending behind their own B team. The Ordulph took advantage to move ahead overall in the league.
