THE Wharf has cut the price of cinema tickets in a bid to win back film-goers making the long trip into Plymouth.
Matinee performances now cost £3 for adults and evening showings £4, both £1 cheaper than previously and more than £1 cheaper than city cinema tickets.
Wharf director Peter Dixon said: 'We are trying to attract more people to the cinema. It seems people are going to Plymouth to see the same films we have here — we are trying to give them another reason for coming to their local theatre.'
The price reductions will run as an experiment for the next three months.
