THE award-winning Plymouth Gilbert and Sullivan Fellowship returns to the Wharf on Saturday October 4 at 7.30pm, with 'Here's a How-de-do!' — a concert which tells the story of the famous duo and their collaboration.
The programme will include excerpts from all the popular Savoy operas.
Local singers Nic Fieldsend and Peter Clement feature as Arthur Sullivan and WS Gilbert respectively, with Peter Preston as Richard D'Oyley Carte and Jean Matthews as Mrs Gilbert.
The society, who perform each year at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth, won the NODA regional award for excellence for this year's production of The Pirates of Penzance.
The society — which previously won the award in 1997 with their election year production of Iolanthe and in 2001 for The Gondoliers — is currently preparing to present The Yeoman of the Guard on January 27-31, 2004, at the Theatre Royal.
