NEW Year's Day was even more special for Yelverton parents Wanida and Dave Kittle — with the speedy arrival of their very own Millennium baby.
And the Times said congratulations with a special gift for the newborn child.
Wanida gave birth to the 8lb 7oz baby at 7.45am in Derriford Hospital — a brother for one-year-old Alexander.
Dave said: 'He came quite quickly — we had only been in the hospital 15 minutes, so it was a very close thing but it was ideal for her and for the nurses. He wasn't due until January 4.'
The family live at Station Road, Yelverton.
Baby Kittle, un-named as the Times went to press, was presented with a special christening present from the newspaper — he is the first baby to be born in the Tavistock Times Gazette circulation area this century.
The happy family are pictured above in their home.
