A NEW footpath re-establishing access to Kit Hill from the Moss Side industrial estate in Callington is to open in the new year.
Residents of the Tavistock Road estate used to enjoy access to Florence Road from Tinners Way via an undesignated footpath. But this was cut off when building work began on the Moss Side estate.
Cllr Roger Ellard told fellow town councillors last week that as a result of a meeting between himself, Cllr Larry Horton and various Caradon representatives, it was agreed some gates be introduced to mark out the new path.
?The footpath won?t be officially adopted,? said Cllr Ellard. ?It will give access from Tinners Way to Florence Road, towards Kit Hill, so that people won?t have to walk all the way around.?
