VISITORS to Rosemoor Garden in Great Torrington will find it a lot easier to get around from next month, as 'Go North Devon', which provides a Shopmobility service in Barnstaple, are launching their leisuremobility service at the garden. The leisuremobility team will be at Rosemoor every Thursday from April 3, from 10am to 4pm, providing powered scooters to help visitors with limited mobility enjoy more of the garden. Director of Rosemoor, Malcolm Duncan, said: 'We are very pleased to be able to offer physically disabled visitors greater independence in the garden. 'Training will be given on the use of the equipment, which we hope will enhance the visitor experience. Manual wheelchairs will continue to be available seven days a week.' Anyone wishing to utilise the service at Rosemoor needs to book by calling 01271 328866. If the service proves popular, Leisuremobility will increase their days at Rosemoor through the summer. Scooters will be available for a £3 deposit, which can be donated to Shopmobility following use.
