South West One Tavistock A 5 Bodmin A 6 THE last league game of the season was a fast end to end game, played in good spirit. Both teams sitting safely in the mid table positions only had pride to play for as the winner would end sitting one place above the other. Tavistock started the brighter and created some good chances up front for Heard and Honey playing his last game as captain. Against the run of play Bodmin went into the lead through a penalty corner. Tavistock dug in and clawed two goals back, one a sublime run through Daniells, which seemed to endorse the dominant start that they had in the game. Yet again the visitors scored a couple of easy goals which rattled Tavistock, who they found themselves on the back foot. Bodmin put another goal away from yet another short corner and led at the half time whistle. The next goal came from Bodmin, within the first few minutes and the game looked to be slipping away from Tavistock. The home side dug in and took the game right back to Bodmin and started breaking through the solid Bodmin defence. Gradually Tavistock were getting back onto level terms and were playing some fast and inventive hockey. At five all, Tavistock struck the upright and should have come away with the points but Bodmin snatched the points with a break away goal. A good game came to an end and another solid season for the A side in South West One.
