TAVISTOCK Area Support Services held its annual meeting at the Anchorage Centre last Thursday.
The event was attended by town mayor Jenny Metcalf and West Devon mayor Christine Grills.
It was announced that the TASS drop-in centres, of which there are seven in the Tavistock area, will continue to be funded for three years at a cost of £8,900 thanks to funding from social services.
Peta Humphries, TASS chief executive, said, ?From our point of view it?s a huge help as it is over ten per cent of our expenditure. It?s a vital service and without these funds we would have to withdraw it.?
