FLOATS and walkers in all shapes and colours paraded through the streets of Callington on Saturday for the annual carnival, which was a spectacular finale to the first-ever Callington Festival Week.

People lined the main thoroughfare to see the extravaganza which included children's and adult bands, town dignitaries dressed in flamboyant costumes and dancers.

Organisers said the whole week had been a big success and would be even better next year.
