ON behalf of Tavistock Hospital League of Friends I would like to thank the staff at the hospital for all their work in making the open day so successful.
Tavistock Hospital has been rated excellent for environment, food, privacy and dignity and this was more than evident during the tour of the building. Tavistock should be rightly proud of its hospital and staff who provide 24-hour care for our community.
The improvements that have been made at the hospital over the last 12 to 18 months give the impression of a light, clean, welcoming environment, and the staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. Amongst other things, the league of friends have been able to raise enough funds to provide en-suite facilities for two of the wards to give easier access and more privacy for patients.
It was a most informative tour of the operating theatre, minor injuries unit, consulting rooms, wards, and general facilities, which was followed by an excellent Devon cream tea. Many thanks to all Tavistock Hospital staff.
