FRIENDS and family gathered in Buckland Monachorum Village Hall recently, to celebrate the golden wedding anniversary of Dennis and Shirley Fairchild, who were married at Walkhampton Church on January 21, 1961. 

They had a lovely evening and enjoyed meeting up with everyone to share their memories. 

The evening was made extra special as their son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Carol, had travelled down from Scotland, together with their new baby grandson, Harry Richard, to help them celebrate the event.
