SIXTEEN people fished the three lakes at Legge Farm, Highampton for the Okehampton Sports Week Shield.

Harrison set the early pace on the top lake with a fish every minute for the first hour, but J Lacy and J Beeby were also catching on the bottom lake.

Farmer Jason Mills weighed in five carp over 2lbs and veteran S Hockaday still had a dry net.

M Kelly on a favoured peg catching the race was on.

On the top lake G Penna began to bring carp to the net and the scales man T Harrison was kept lively which seemed to affect his own performance, causing him to loose fish.

S Hockaday weighed in fish of 3 and 5lbs then J Lacy caught a carp of 6lb 7oz which settled the match.

Heaviest fish: J Lacy, carp 6lb 7oz.
