I was delighted to read of Tavistock Youth Café's recent award from Devon County Council (Times, September 11).

Tavistock Youth Café is a fantastic resource for the area's young people.  In addition to providing a safe and fun place to meet her friends, my daughter has enjoyed the Café's well-organised trips to the theatre, Kongomana youth festival and camping/surfing excursions during the summer holidays. 

Well done to Abby and all the enthusiastic TYC staff.  Long may it continue!
