THE Tavy and Tamar Apple Group has arranged a winter apple pruning day on January 26 in two orchards in the Tavy Valley near Bere Alston.

The tutor will be Charles Staniland who has many years of experience with such courses throughout Devon and ensures that it is a 'hands-on' day.

The day starts at 10am and finishes at 3pm.
