THERE's an opportunity for bike enthusiasts to take part in a cycling challenge this weekend — which will also raise money for a leading leukaemia charity.

The Anthony Nolan Trust is staging the Dartmoor Cycle Challenge for the third time on Sunday, a 27 or 53-mile route across stunning moorland and, new for this year, a ten-mile route for beginners.

All finishers receive a certificate for completing the challenge, with incentives available for raising sponsorship to aid the fight against leukaemia.

The circular ride, which had to be cancelled last year due to the foot and mouth crisis, begins from South Dartmoor Railway at Buckfastleigh.

Entry costs £10 per person in advance, £15 on the day.
