VINTAGE car enthusiasts gathered in Walkhampton with their classic cars at the weekend despite the weather, for the village fun day and classic car display.

Members of the public turned up to show off their own classic cars and view others' vehicles at the event which was raising money for Walkhampton Village Hall.

Walkhampton resident John Howe brought along his Standard 8a open tourer from 1947, which he bought in 1968, and youngsters even joined in with the event, including cart racers Billy Kingdom on the Princetown Scouts cart and Matthew Druett on his own cart.
