POLICE in Tavistock are appealing for information about a fight in The Meadows on Tuesday evening in which one person was slightly injured.

Officers were called to the incident in the park at 6.50pm on Tuesday night which they said involved a number of people.

A police spokesperson said: ‘At the time of this incident there were families in the park as well as people playing tennis and bowls who tried to take steps to stop the fight.

‘This incident is very concerning because it was in a very public place with families nearby and other people engaging in in their normal day to day activities.

‘There have been reports of anti-social disorder over the last couple of weeks around The Meadows and police are looking to take robust action against any offenders so would like to hear from anyone who was present at the time of this incident and witnessed what happened.’
