POLICE are appealing for information following an incident of criminal damage and theft from a car in Tavistock last week.

A blue Vauxhall Corsa was parked on the second level of the Co-op multi-storey car park in Brook Street and was damaged between March 18 and 20.

The suspects removed the windscreen wipers, hub caps, broke the fuel filler cap, either let down or damaged two tyres and stole the aerial, wing mirror glass and number plates.

The victim is a local female suffering long-term illness and agoraphobia.

The car was a basic lifeline for her.

A Co-op worker saw two boys, around 10 to 12 years old, on scooters playing with windscreen wipers on the vehicle around a similar time.

Police would like these boys to come forward to help with their investigation.

Anyone with any information relating to this incident is asked to contact police by calling 101 or emailing [email protected] and quoting crime reference number CR/020986/17.
