FIRE fighters were called to tackle a chimney fire at a property in Meavy last Thursday.

A crew from Yelverton, along with the 4x4 vehicle, arrived on the scene just after 2.30pm and got to work extinguishing the fire using chimney gear and small tools.

Crews put the fire out and duty of care was left with the occupants.
