A BREAK-IN at a youth centre, a bench being thrown into the River Tavy and criminal damage to a car all feature in this week’s #newsfromtheblues police page.

• A MALE was arrested in Yelverton on July 14 after he was found to be carrying green herbal matter, believed to be cannabis. CR/057963/17.

• CRIMINAL damage was caused to a Transit van on Drake Road overnight on July 15, between 7pm and 9am the following morning. CR/058619/17.

• A MALE offender was arrested after he was found inside the Bere Alston Youth and Community Centre in the middle of the night.

Police were called after loud banging with a heavy metal object was heard on July 17 between 12.35am and 12.45am.

Upon arrival, police found damage to two doors. Upon entering, police found the male offender and he was arrested. If you saw or heard anything, call police quoting CR/058826/17.

• THE tyres of a red Mini Cooper were slashed on Old Exeter Road in Tavistock some time between 7pm on July 17 and 6.30am the following morning. Witnesses are being sought, crime number CR/059062/17.

• A GARDEN bench was thrown from the garden of one of the Westbridge Cottages onto the banks of the River Tavy some time between 9.30pm on Saturday, July 15 and 9am on July 16. If you saw anything, contact police quoting CR/059420/17.

• A BURGLAR climbed up onto a roof to gain entry to a property in Quants Park, Tavistock.

The burglar, who entered the property some time between 8pm on Sunday, July 16 and 10.42am on July 18, stole money and documents during an untidy search of the property. If you saw or heard anything suspicious over these days, contact police quoting crime number CR/059559/17.
