ON a breezy Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club, 78 competitors took part in the Cheltenham and Gloucester Scratch Medal and Handicap Cup competition at Okehampton Golf Club. The course was again in superb condition with fast greens and lush fairways.

The competition scratch score was 66. The gross scores were as follows. D File and K Cornwall 67, followed by D Bickle 71, D Keir, M Aggett with 76.

On a bright day with some light cloud, 38 veterans over 59 years of age played on Monday over 16 holes for the Pat Terry Cup.

The competition was won by John Hoggins with a stableford score of 37 points closely followed by S Saunders 36, G Allen 35, D Brough 35, D Adams 35.
