OKEHAMPTON Golf Club on Saturday held a four-ball better ball medal.

There were 108 competitors. K Peckham and P Okopski won with an excellent score of net 56. Results: 1, K Peckham and P Okopski net 56; 2, P Orton and I Radnor net 58; 3, B Willcocks and M Hutchinson on last 9, net 59.

Last weekend four juniors from Okehampton GC represented Devon in a team competition at Woodhall Spa Golf Club.

S Hill, D Prouse, D Hudson and M White were one of the 34 teams who qualified. They did not win any of the main prizes, but all enjoyed the experience.

This week?s competition is the second round of the Stanley Bridges Salver.
