TAVISTOCK Run Project’s Oliver Smart has continued his strong start to the track season taking over seven seconds off his personal best in the 1,500m BMC race at Exeter.

His time of 4 minutes 09 seconds is excellent preparation towards qualifying for the English Schools’ Championships later this season.

Oliver’s brother Edward also had an excellent run in the 800m event, the first time he has competitively run this distance, and has set a good benchmark to focus his training on this season.

Later in the week saw the Burrator 10km race take place. Craig Howells was the sole representative from TRP for this event, for which he rose to the occasion with a good course PB and top 20 place. Craig ran in a time of 41.17.
