TAVISTOCK Judo Club sent three of its students to the West of England Schools qualifier, the biggest competition any of the young players have entered.

They stood side by side with the main Plymouth club competitors and came away two bronzes and a silver, a really fabulous achievement.

Charles Knape, their team leader said, all fought really well to do so. Rueben Frise did some great throwing, Charlotte Hay fought like a lioness as did Alannah Hopkins who was beaten to the gold by the current national champion!
