MID Devon Pony Club members put on a fine show at the final tetrathlon of the season, which was run by Eggesford PC at Okehampton and Winkleigh last weekend.

Mid Devon's Lettie Cowling was competing for the first time and did superbly to finish second in the novice junior class. She started the day with a great shoot of 800 points and then produced the best swim in her class. She rode a steady cross country round to lift herself up into second place. Immie May in her first triathlon did well to secure seventh place; while Archie Philips, another first timer, sixth in the assisted mini class with Harry Robinson fourth — both rode great clear rounds.

There was more Mid Devon PC success in the triathlon phase of the competition, with Christo Wrey second in his class, with a personal best shoot; and Tom Bayley producing a superb run to finish second in the junior boys.

In the junior boys, Tom Bayley produced a super run, the best in the class, which he followed up with a personal best swim, finally managing nine lengths in the three minute swim, which saw him finish second in the class.
