THE Devon and Exmoor Sheepdog Society held a trial at Sanduck Cross farm Lustleigh on Saturday, June 2.

Ian Mackay, who  hosted both of the trials that weekend, held it as a charity trial being in aid of The Paediatric Oncology Fund (Child Cancer) at The Wonford Hospital at Exeter and made the grand sum of £675 for the charity. 

RESULTS: Combined Maltese Cross, judged by V Pitt, 18 ran, combined open; 1, Jed Watson, Mirk 81; 2, Angie Blackmore, Bob, 77; Norman Dalgarno, Pip 71.

Novice: 1, Angie Blackmore , Bob2 77; 2, Norman Dalgarno, Pip 71; 3, Jenny Atwell, Mia 65.

Novice Driving, judged by N Dalgarno, 16 ran. 1, Jed Watson, Roy 76t; 2, Jenny Atwell, Spice 74t; 3, Rabbit Slattery, Saffi 68t.

Open Driving, 39 ran: 1, Katy Cropper, Scrum 91; 2, Merrill Fox, Gem 90; 3, Ray Edwards, Sweep 89olf.

On Saturday, June 9 the society took part in the Princetown Trial where the judge was Peter Symons from Cornwood.
